Maybe a bike race?!?!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>We had indeed stumbled onto the opening act of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cykloserver.cz\/kalendar-akci\/?a=120002562\">Beroun Bike Weekend<\/a>, kicking off with a ridiculous amount of kids&#8217; races around the town square. \u00a0This was only made more awesome by the fact that we had no idea what was going on and no one spoke English, so we could only assume the entire setup was for the kids&#8217; races. \u00a0And, let me tell you, there was a lot of setup.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_359\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-359\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/tjkopena.com\/blogs\/outdoors\/?attachment_id=359\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-359\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-359\" title=\"IMG_4047\" src=\"http:\/\/tjkopena.com\/blogs\/outdoors\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/IMG_4047-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-359\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">This is a way more elaborate finish than I&#39;ve seen at some US national championships...<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"attachment_357\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-357\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/tjkopena.com\/blogs\/outdoors\/?attachment_id=357\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-357\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-357\" title=\"IMG_4041\" src=\"http:\/\/tjkopena.com\/blogs\/outdoors\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/IMG_4041-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-357\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Food trucks, with the beer flowing readily by 9am at the latest.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"attachment_358\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-358\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/tjkopena.com\/blogs\/outdoors\/?attachment_id=358\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-358\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-358\" title=\"IMG_4042\" src=\"http:\/\/tjkopena.com\/blogs\/outdoors\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/IMG_4042-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-358\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Spin bike demo truck. She looks way more credible as a bike racer than I ever have.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>We gather there was some <a href=\"http:\/\/mtbs.cz\/clanek\/bike-weekend-v-beroune-jiz-tento-tyden\/kategorie\/pozvanky\">crazy mountain bike race<\/a> there later in the afternoon, as well as some kind of gran fondo ride\/race the next day, but we eventually managed to determine it wouldn&#8217;t start until late afternoon and couldn&#8217;t stick around. \u00a0The course looked awesome though, and was apparently quite long. \u00a0As we left organizers had started moving barricades to create a prologue sequence that looked super crazy to watch,\u00a0wrapping and twisting all throughout town before making its way to the woods and an egregiously long opening climb.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_385\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-385\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/tjkopena.com\/blogs\/outdoors\/?attachment_id=385\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-385\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-385\" title=\"beroun2\" src=\"http:\/\/tjkopena.com\/blogs\/outdoors\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/beroun2-300x165.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"165\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-385\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Start line.
