full results on the <a href=\"http:\/\/collegiatecycling.org\/eccc\/wiki\/index.php?n=Calendar.Current\">calendar<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_97\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-97\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/tjkopena.com\/blogs\/outdoors\/?attachment_id=97\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-97\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-97\" title=\"nik-rob\" src=\"http:\/\/tjkopena.com\/blogs\/outdoors\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/nik-rob-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-97\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Nik and Rob realize one of them&#39;s about to bump the other out of slalom.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>All in all I think the weekend went super well. \u00a0Northeastern&#8217;s pretty on the ball as promoters. \u00a0If you know what to look for you can tell that they have established a decent trend of passing on knowledge from year to year, e.g., simple things like having receipt slips printed out. \u00a0Attendance seemed solid but was below previous years&#8217;. \u00a0Downhill was a notably exception, with good local turnout for the Open race boosting that over 70 riders.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_94\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-94\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/tjkopena.com\/blogs\/outdoors\/?attachment_id=94\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-94\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-94\" title=\"women-a-nu-slalom\" src=\"http:\/\/tjkopena.com\/blogs\/outdoors\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/women-a-nu-slalom-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-94\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Allison and Molly rock out in slalom.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The slalom course was interesting and worked well. \u00a0It was buried in the woods and carved in and out of trees so it had a very different, much closer feel than almost all slalom courses. \u00a0It fits right into the trail network there, so for a change Holiday is planning on keeping it intact. \u00a0A minor issue we&#8217;ll have to watch for in the future is that the lanes had no gap between them at the finish, so setting up the gates was precarious and they got knocked around a bit.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_93\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-93\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/tjkopena.com\/blogs\/outdoors\/?attachment_id=93\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-93\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-93\" title=\"men-c\" src=\"http:\/\/tjkopena.com\/blogs\/outdoors\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/men-c-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-93\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Men&#39;s C on the short track course.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>I spent a fair bit of time over the weekend taking photos. \u00a0In some ways this is a little sad as I only have a passing interest in photography and would much rather walk around or conduct operations. \u00a0However, we don&#8217;t really have that many people taking and making readily available high quality photos throughout the MTB season. \u00a0We need more of that kind of stuff if we&#8217;re going to really push back against the MTB attendance drop, so I&#8217;ve been consciously taking more photos.<\/p>\n<p>One thought I had for the future is possibly buying a decent, action-photo ready camera for the conference and passing it around throughout the weekend. \u00a0That way I don&#8217;t have to spend time on it, new people get to try taking photos with more than a point &amp;
